Candy Corn was adopted near halloween (could you guess?). She is the light and heart of our animal side of the family alongside her other cat sisters and dog sister. The cat and dog surprisingly love each other. My 3,4 and 8 year old are also in love with this sweet baby. I rescued her from petsmart, as she stared me down from down the isle in the adoption kennel, I basically felt her looking at me. It was love at first sight. I had to rescue this baby. As we moved she ended-up escaping and was out for three weeks. After countless tries, ring recordings, late night bush searches and calls. We finally caught her 8/3. She was limping and clearly hurt. We brought her to our vet who gave us a $1k quote for sedation for the certain x-ray images and meds. I was unable to afford it at the time and was able to get the meds for her to be as comfortable as possible. I went on a mission to find a way to get her treatment. I started a waggle and shared all over. I was able to raise $125 and when the number was stuck there I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try as the worst that would happen was a no. So I applied to Saving Gracie and she reached out approving her care. Even though she was not in a life or death situation but it was extremely painful for the kitty and is an emergent situation. We had exhausted all other resources including care credit, scratchpay etc. She was able to get her sedation and diagnostic treatment. The journey has only began as she needs surgery for multiple fractures at UC Davis, but we wouldn’t have made it this far without the compassionate and caring Lisa. We thank you for all you have done and for helping our family.

Our dog Tank is only 4 years old. He ate a toy that ended up giving him an obstruction in his intestines that needed to be surgically removed. Over the last year my family has been through the ringer, financially and emotionally. My middle child, 9 year old just finished cancer treatment for a brain tumor that left us with a ton of medical bills. We were going to have to put Tank down as we couldn’t afford the surgery. Thank goodness for Saving Gracie. I filled out an application and they contacted me the very next morning saying they could help. Tank has had his surgery and now gets to live a long healthy life thanks to them. Thank you so much for saving our boys life!

Dutchess is the baby of the family. Our kids love her and so do our other animals as well as us. She has the biggest loving soul. We found out she had Pyometra. Which is deadly and can kill them quickly. It requires a “hysterectomy”. This surgery was way over what I could afford. After reaching out to saving Gracie within an hour she responded and told me to get her down to solano pet hospital. By the time I got there and she was seen, the owner had called and paid our over $3k bill. I couldn’t thank them enough for saving my baby. She is happy and healthy as can be now.

Our cat Drusilla, 1 year of age, had a habit of bringing in lizards from the outside. She is a very playful, energetic kitty so this was no surprise! Unfortunately, she had gotten bit by a lizard a couple weeks ago right on her eye. This caused an infection in her eye which resulted in her requiring an enucleation to heal from the injury. I was unable to afford it at this time, so I applied to Saving Gracie and it was the best decision I’ve made. They were so quick in approving us and covered a heavy amount of the cost of her surgery. She’s gotten her surgery and is doing very well now and recovering. Again, I can’t be more grateful for the assistance of Saving Gracie in saving my cat’s life. For sure one of the greatest organizations out there. ❤️

I sincerely thank you and Saving Gracie for all you’ve done for Lola and me. Without your help I would not have been able to do it myself. I don’t know your beliefs but I know that the work you do comes from A pure heart and that only comes from God.

Sincerely Janie and Lola

This all started 3 weeks ago, a day I’ll never forget.. Tyson started having urinary issues, licking himself and unable to urinate. I took him to the vet and found out he had a blockage, the vet was able to unblock him but informed me this is something that could happen again and he may need to have a speciality surgery (PU) to help prevent the inevitable. I knew the surgery was going to be pricey so I was starting to save up but 3 weeks later Tyson ended up in the ER with the same symptoms. Of course it was another blockage. I was devastated, low on funds & hurting for my baby boy. The ER informed me that he needed the PU surgery and he needed it now. I transferred him from the ER to a specialty care facility who would be performing the surgery. While heart broken and crying my eyes out I applied for SAVING GRACIE. Little did I know how quick and on it they were! I got a call from the facility my baby boy was at and they said Lisa from Saving Gracie called and paid for the surgery! Tyson had the surgery on Monday and is now home and recovering. We are FOREVER indebted to SAVING GRACIE. We are beyond thankful and feel so so blessed! Thank you so much for saving my baby boy’s life! (Will update again once he is fully recovered)
Much love,
Taylor & Tyson
